This session offers essential knowledge for individuals involved in parking compliance or anyone looking to learn about parking compliance/enforcement. This 8-hour training session provides an overview of key topics that employees should understand to effectively carry out parking enforcement duties within their organization. These topics are designed to supplement the organization's existing training program and establish the necessary knowledge and skills for the successful fulfillment of responsibilities in parking enforcement.
Learning Objectives
- Identify the core tools to perform professionally.
- Review common California Vehicle Code violations used for enforcement and towing authorities.
- Recognize the California Vehicle Codes that:
- Govern parking citations; and
- Prescribe the three-step appeal process.
- Explain the importance of customer service and communication skills.
- Illustrate techniques that promote safe practices in the field.
- Learn parking terms, acronyms, and definitions.
