USC Transportation - USC Village Leaps Forward

Tuesday, July 23, 2024 (11:00 AM - 12:00 PM) (PDT)

Description

USC Village is a mixed-use residential/retail complex at the University of Southern California, with an underground on-site garage for retail customers. Formerly employing a pull-ticket access control/validation system, the site has experienced a lot of growing pains since opening in 2017. In December 2023, they decided to convert to an LPR access control system. The transformation has been incredible - LPR has simplified the entire operation, plugged significant revenue leaks, dramatically enhanced the customer experience, and substantially decreased expenses YOY. USC Village is a case study on how finding the right partners and embracing technology can turn the parking operations at a retail property around 180 degrees in a short timeframe, driving revenue and customer satisfaction scores through the roof.

Learning Objectives:

  • Learn from USC's growing pains in a retail garage environment
  • Discover the positive impacts LPR can make for your organization
  • Recognize the benefits of internal champions and engaged partners for your projects
