The Operations Manager has full independent responsibility for all Transportation Services field operations (facility planning and project management, sign shop fabrication and installation, parking compliance and transportation, facility and equipment maintenance, along with Active Mobility Enforcement operations). The incumbent serves as a vital member of the Transportation Services leadership team, providing a managerial review, quality control, and analytical support to the department while actively planning and implementing strategic business objectives and continuous improvement programs supporting the University’s mission, Vision, and Values. Acts as a liaison/facilitator between UC Davis Facilities Management and Custodial, Grounds & Waste Management as well as other university departments and will serve as first point of contact for the FAA, EHS, and various county agencies for annual inspections as well as Airport tenants. This position is challenging and demanding in terms of the required judgment, flexibility, sensitivity, and management expertise, as Transportation Services is a highly visible 24/7/365 customer service operation.
