Originally conceived in 2021, Turnstone began as a research project to evolve access to curbside data. Combining connected parking systems, big-data processing, and new research in behavioral modeling, this project developed a blended parking model capable of tracking behavior year-round. 

Turnstone operates independently—as a secure, cloud-based platform that integrates every source of parking data, applies the world's most advanced parking models, and visualizes behavior for planning, operations, and ongoing study. Turnstone supports policymakers making informed decisions using continuous dynamic supply, on-street occupancy, and revenue data. Transforming parking information from annual single-day studies to a continuous data stream, it allows for observation & measurement of seasonal changes, trends, and reactions to price & policy change.
